What Does the Delta Portable Crib Do?

It’s special powers are kinda given away by it’s name. Not only is the Delta 33% smaller than a full sized crib it also folds up for easy transport and storage, and it has (removable) caster wheels so you can move it around easily too.

Who Can Use this Portable Crib?

This crib is a great option if you have a small nursery because it’s smaller than a full sized crib. It still has two mattress positions so you don’t have to lean too far into the crib while your baby is small.

If you’re not a fan of pack ‘n plays then this is a great solution for somewhere safe for baby to sleep or even play downstairs in the family room.

And of course if you often do daytime naps or even overnight stays at grandmas it can be easily folded up and stored out of the way between uses.

If you have twins then you might want to consider two of these mini cribs because they take up less space.

It’s also a very affordable alternative for a bassinet; it’s much sturdier and will last much longer too since babies grow out of bassinets within the first three months.

Depending on how fast your little one grows babies should be able to sleep comfortably in this crib until they’re 18-24 months old.

What Is So Great About it?

We love the look of this portable crib, it’s so simple yet stylish. It comes in three colour choices so you can pick the one that best fits your nursery design. You can choose from Cherry, Natural or White

It’s very light at just under 35 pounds and is made of solid hardwood.

When it’s open for use the crib measures 38×25.2×39.5 inches and when it’s folded it’s a mere 6 inches wide so you can easily store it in a closet or under a bed.

With the mattress at it’s highest level it’s perfect for using as a changing table which is another way to save on space in your nursery.

What’s Not to Love About it?

Delta state that you should only use this crib with the mattress that they supply. And while it’s great that they actually supply the mattress with the crib it’s not the best mattress in the world. If you’d prefer something different then check Amazon for a two inch portable crib mattress that measures 38×24 inches. Remember it has to be a snug fit in the crib or baby could get trapped down the sides so be cautious.

The other thing you might want to bear in mind is that the wheels on this crib cannot be locked. Which should be fine, unless you happen to have cheeky toddlers in the house who might think it’s fun to push the baby around in the crib! Of course if you don’t really need to move the crib around you can just remove the wheels.

What Do Other People Say About it?

This crib is loved by so many parents.

They love the design and that it looks like a full sized crib rather than a cheap plastic alternative.

They love how simple it is to assemble and how easy it is to move around.

And they love the price. It’s such an affordable crib option, one mom even confessed to owning three of them!

Should You Get the Delta Children Portable Crib?

Yes! This crib is pretty much a no brainer addition to your baby registry if you have a small nursery or you want baby to be able to sleep in your room for a few months, or you need a spare place to sleep at grandmas, or you’re expecting twins and need the extra space.
